What this site keeps about your visit.

What is recorded

• The page you opened, without anything after a ? or #.
• The site that sent you, as a domain only (for example linkedin.com), or “direct” when there is none. Campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign or ref) are kept in short form.
• Your country, as a two-letter code supplied by the hosting network. Not your city, not your address.
• Device type: desktop, mobile or tablet. The full browser string is not kept.
• Time on the page, counted only while the tab is in view, with each stretch capped at 30 minutes.
• Named actions: running a demo, picking a sample, pressing approve or hand off on a demo reply, scrolling past half or most of a page, copying or clicking the email address, and the domain of an outside link you click.
• “Try to break it” results: whether a guard caught the message or not, nothing else. The page shows the running totals of these to every visitor.

What is never recorded

• Your IP address.
• Cookies, local storage or any identifier that follows you between visits. Each page load gets a random number that lives only in that open page, so two visits cannot be linked.
• Anything you type. Text you enter in a demo, in “Ask about me” or in “Try to break it” is sent to the server only to work out the answer, and it is not stored.
• Your name, email or any account. The site has no sign-up.

Opting out

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, nothing is recorded at all: the page does not send the count, and the server drops it if it arrives. Visits from known bots and link previews are dropped too.

Where it is kept, and for how long

The counts are stored in a database on the same network that hosts this site (Cloudflare). Only I can see them, behind a sign-in. Rows older than 12 months are deleted. Nothing is sold or shared.
